Merry Christmas!

01 Jan

Cookie crumbs, an empty glass, missing stockings, and a note were our first clues that Santa had been here whilst we slept. Sadie requested that the stockings be opened first of all so they were retrieved.

They were thrilled with the trinkets and goodies that they found in their stockings.

Santa left Sadie a pile of goodies atop a rug for her beautiful princess room. She got lots of art supplies including glitter lacquer, paint pens, air drying clay, paper, and more. There were many, many more gifts that I’m sure will be seen in future blog posts.

Santa managed to find Lego Star Wars for the Wii- something that neither Chris nor I could seem to find anywhere. Several Lego Castle sets for building and pretend play, and many more gifts were waiting for Elijah in Santa’s pile.

They thoroughly enjoyed opening and checking out each gift.

Then the fun part! The gifts were discovered one by one and enjoyed at great length. They’re still discovering! Here Elijah and Sadie have a shoe fashion show with dress-up shoes.

Santa brought a tumbling mat! Tumbling ensued.

Sadie sports her new scooter!

And the wiggle racer- Elijah’s preferential mode of transportation (which Santa brought LAST year)- takes a passenger. The kids played with a neighbor for quite a while on this beautiful Christmas morning. We had a wonderfully low key day playing and eating together. Unfortunately, it was not capped off by a Celtics win. 😦

To funny, my mom almost bought the same exact scooter for Kenzie! She instead opted for a razor. Looks like you guys had a great Christmas.
