The day after Halloween, our friend Miranda (also a fairly recent transplant from New Hampshire) turned 3! The kids were very excited to attend her party. But first we had some errands to which to attend. The car needed an oil change so we dropped it off and wandered around the pet store talking about the various animals, habitats, food, toys, training, maintenance, etc.- you know, pet store talk. As we were leaving the pet store, the local humane societies were pulling up to drop off their pooches available for adoption. They spend the day with volunteers outside the pet store in hopes that someone will take them home and they won’t have to make the trip back to the shelter at the end of the day. We stood for a long while watching the preparation process and the unloading of the dogs. An extensive discussion about responsible pet ownership ensued.
After picking up some protein smoothies, we retrieved the newly oiled car, and went to get Daddy to go to Miranda’s!
Elijah and Miranda have party blower duels.
The kids were in heaven. They decorated crowns and wands and their own cupcakes!
Considerable time was also spent decorating Miranda’s patio with chalk drawings. Spectacular party, Miranda! Thanks for having us!
