Wonderful Waffles

26 Jun

Sadie ran out of the frozen waffles that Daddy didn’t eat while we were in California. This solution-oriented young lady knows how to remedy that situation. These were really yummy (just as yummy thrown in the toaster a day or two later)!

Whole Wheat Waffles

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup all-purpoes flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
2 cups milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar.
  2. In another bowl, mix together beaten eggs, milk, and melted butter. Mix well, and add to the flour mixture, beating until combined.
  3. Cook in a waffle iron until golden brown.

Those waffles sound like utter yumminess! I love the way Sadie looks like she’s taking her cooking very seriously, too.
