A leisurely ramble on the trails near Mesa Creek turned into full fledge hike to the cliff summit. It was a sandy, dirty, sweaty adventure that peaked (both literally and figuratively) at the top of a cliff overlooking Hendry’s Beach. It was downhill from there (both literally and figuratively) when we realized the only way back down was the way we had come (insert Sadie from several paces behind saying, “Mama, I’m exhausted!” and Elijah, “This is retiring!”)
Our eyes and ears tuned in to nature as the chatter and exuberance subsided.
I have been wondering about these trees that I see everywhere whose bark appears to be peeling right off. Read more about the Eucalyptus tree.
Check out this view. It was spectacular. Yes, then we went to the beach. 🙂
