We decided to try Alameda Park in the morning this time with much better results. We all had a great time. This is a beautiful park with a really great playground.

Once again- fantastic playground but we spent most of the time on this tree. What a great tree!

There was also some great playground play. Here Elijah helps Sadie brush off her pants after a tumble off the slide. We followed this visit with a trip to the library for more books and videos. Have I mentioned they have a great library in Santa Barbara?

What a fantastic tree! It looks like something out of a movie, a book, or a vivid imagination. Excellent! I love the pic of all 3 kids at the tree especially.

A great climbing tree is so awesome. There is this cool one in SC we have visited, its like 1000 years old, called Angel Oak. Unfortunately, it is only for looking at and taking pictures, though it is possibly the coolest climbing tree ever.
I have to agree with everyone else — That tree is amazing! Who needs a playground when nature has created something like that!
