Ft. Worth’s 35th Annual Mayfest turned out to be a fantastic time! Everything from paddle boats and bouncy houses to live music and booths for a greener earth (we signed up to get our power from an entirely wind and water-powered company source and got a free bald cypress tree to plant!).

There were festivities, booths, and music all around but still plenty of room for the kids to run and play or throw down a blanket and have a snack- FYI funnel cakes are the southern equivalent of fried dough. We were skeptical but they are amazing!

Being bouncy house connoisseurs, the kids enjoyed the array that was available. They (chaperoned by a terrified mother) also climbed and slid down a 25 foot inflated and enclosed (read unstable and claustrophobic) slide.

Men on stilts, Darth Vader and storm troopers, and the Geico gecko were all wandering among the tremendous crowd that braved the morning drizzle that turned into a fabulous afternoon.
