This photo was entirely staged. Our children do not enjoy sledding. It took major cajoling to get them into the sled to take this picture. I had to promise not to move it. Elijah would rather walk around in the crater-filled snow for hours on end. Sadie would like only to be carried- all the while saying, “I think we should go in the house now.” When Chris said to her, “so I hear you’re quite a sledder-”, she quickly and most emphatically replied, “I amn’t!”

What’s it take to get a drink around here? February 27, 2007
Who knew getting a drink could be so challenging? The water fountain at the Bedford Library proved to be very amusing. We were there for a music/puppet presentation but, unfortunately, the best part of this particular visit was the water fountain. Elijah got a very wet face and thought this was a hysterical way to quench one’s thirst! See video of fountain antics at www.youtube.com (use your e-mail with permission).
Parachute Play February 22, 2007
The kids playing parachute in the gym with friends from our unschool group as well as other homeschoolers in the community. They loved making the ‘mushroom’ and then climbing underneath. Then they wait for the parachute to deflate on them and start again!
